    • Marking Scheme:

  • Quizzes (10%):There will be five quizzes during the classes.(2% each)
  • Assignments (10%): There will be two assignments (5% each; I will collect your written works at the beginning of classes).
  • Midterms (40%): There will be two 1.5-hour midterms written during class time. (20% each; tentative dates: July 12th, 26th)
  • Final Exam (40%): There will be one 2.5-hour exam written during class time.(tentative date: Aug 4th)

    • About the Topics:

  • Combinatorics, independence, conditioning; Poisson-process; discrete and continuous distributions with statistical applications; expectation, transformations moment-generating functions joint, marginal and conditional distributions; covariance and correlation; central limit theorem.

  • Use of the McMaster Standard Calculator the Casio FX991, is permitted on tests and examinations. All other calculators are prohibited.
